The Process
It all starts with the lot. If you don’t have a lot for your new home, don’t worry. I have been helping customers purchase lots since 1999. I am a Realtor, and have access to the multiple listing services in both Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. I am often aware of potential lots that may not be listed with another agent. I have a very detailed knowledge of the city zoning codes, tree codes, and many other construction requirements, so there aren’t any surprises. Together we will find the perfect property for your new home.
Once you have your property selected and are committed to that lot, the design phase begins. As you can read on the OUR STORY page, I have an extensive background designing homes, and knowledge of every aspect of construction. I believe the key to designing a great home is listening to my clients. After a few meetings I can get a good feel for what my clients want in their new home. Don’t be intimidated if you don’t know what you want. It is my job to walk you through the decision making process one step at a time. Together we will create the perfect design.
When the designs are completed, I send them to an Architect and a structural engineer. They work together to complete the construction drawings and ensure the structural integrity of the home.
Once the necessary permits are obtained, the construction of your home begins. Typically, my custom homes will take between 11-18 months to build. This timeline will vary depending on the size and complexity of each home.
